registration is now open to Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and guitar students for the 2018 red clay roots k-12 summer string camp. Held at the beautiful Rooted Gypsy Farms in Grand Junction, CO, the Red Clay Roots Day Camp is the first and best camp of its kind. Camp instruction and activities include morning technique classes by instrument, student chosen enrichment classes, small group/ensemble instruction, and a camp-wide orchestra. Enrichment class subject matters include options in improvisation, composition, music theory, songwriting, and fiddle styles. in ensemble classes, students will be carefully split into small string-bands to work up a number of their choosing for the final performance on July 28th under the specialized instruction of one of our master teachers. the k-12 camp schedule is fully CUSTOMIZABLE to fit the needs of any student, regardless of age and ability level. running from july 23rd - 25th, Registration is limited to 30 students in order to provide the highest caliber of education.

Hosted by rooted gypsy farms, a beautiful organic farm in grand junction co, this Red Clay Roots Daytime session provides world class music education to adult students of any ability level. our faculty boasts a collective resume of grammy awards, national championships, and touring from the grand ol opery to bonnaroo. students of the session will have class options in technique, fiddle styes, jazz improvisation, songwriting/vocals, and jamming/ensemble playing. the schedule at the red clay roots adult/advanced session is fully CUSTOMIZABLE to fit the needs of any student, regardless of playing experience, and provides an excellent OPPORTUNITY for adult musicians to develop a community of string players to play and collaborate with year-round. the session will run from july 26th - 28th and is limited to 30 students in order to provide the highest caliber of music education.

K-12 CAMP DETAILS
CLASS INSTRUCTION WILL BEGIN AT 9:00 AM EACH MORNING AND END AT 5:00 PM EACH EVENING. CAMPER SIGN-IN WILL BEGIN AT 7:30 AM ON JULY 23RD, AT WHICH TIME WE REQUEST YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED, PRINTED, AND COMPLETED THE MEDICAL FORM, LIABILITY WAIVER, AND PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO RELEASE LISTED BELOW. YOU WILL BE ASSIGNED A STUDENT PICK-UP/DROP-OFF TIME FOR EACH SESSION IN ORDER TO EXPEDITE THE PICK-UP/DROP-OFF PROCESS, AND STUDENTS SHOULD BRING A PACK LUNCH/SNACKS FOR THE DAY. THE K-12 CLASS SCHEDULE IS FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE, AND AN OPTION WILL BE PROVIDED TO K-6 STUDENTS FOR A LESS INTENSIVE SCHEDULE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF ONE OF OUR MASTER TEACHERS. THE FINAL PERFORMANCE FOR THE K-12 CAMP WILL TAKE PLACE ON JULY 28TH AT 5:00 PM, JUST PRIOR TO THE 6:30 PM RED CLAY ROOTS FACULTY RECITAL. THERE WILL BE A SHORT REHEARSAL PRIOR TO THE CAMP CONCERT FROM 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. THE RECITAL IS NOT REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS TRAVELING FROM OUTSIDE OF MESA COUNTY, THOUGH WE ENCOURAGE THESE STUDENTS TO CONTACT US SO THAT WE CAN PROVIDE AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION IN THE FORM OF A HIGH QUALITY VIDEO/PROFESSIONAL LEVEL RECORDING OF THEIR ENSEMBLE PieCE. EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE ONE COMPLIMENTARY TICKET TO THE FACULTY RECITAL ON JULY 28TH.

ADULT/ADVANCED SESSION SIGN-IN WILL BEGIN AT 2:00 PM ON JULY 26TH, AT WHICH TIME WE REQUEST YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED, PRINTED, AND COMPLETED THE MEDICAL FORM, LIABILITY WAIVER, AND PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO RELEASE listed below. due to the limited number of available slots, we cannot offer a discount for partial attendance at this time; partial attendance to the adult/advanced session is permitted, though we request that you contact us with any CALENDAR details you may have so that we can supplement your schedule accordingly. EACH STUDENT WILL RECEIVE ONE COMPLIMENTARY TICKET TO THE FACULTY RECITAL ON JULY 28TH AT 6:30 PM.
